never have i been so happy to see a few drops of rain! it kept pouring down for about ten minutes, and then five minutes later it was all dryed up. i celebrated in style; kalyani black label and limca!

i don’t start work till wednesday, so the past few days i have been trying to acclimatise to my new sub tropical surroundings – not an easy task with 40+ degrees outside – but i’m making an effort. leaving my comfortable air conditioned home behind, i have ventured out to explore my neighborhood and the local markets. i’m still working on my photography skills, but here are some snapshots from the last couple of days.

after what seemed to be an eternity at heathrows new terminal five, more a shopping centre than an airport terminal if you ask me, i was finally on my way to india. and contrary to all my resent bad luck i was bumped up to business class where i slept like a baby.

i finally got my hands on a visa, unfortunately it wasn’t the visa i was asking for , but it will take me to india, so i’m happy.
